Brianna and Rick’s Intimate & Adventurous Estes Park Wedding

On September 27, 2021, Bryanna and Rick tied the knot in the gorgeous outback setting of Estes Park, Colorado at The Dao House retreat/wedding venue- just outside of Rocky Mountain National Park. With the leaves turning a bright yellow, wind gently blowing against the trees, and the sun burning just at the right temperature, it was the perfect day to get married in the Rocky Mountains.

Months before their wedding began, the bride notified Capture Your Legacy that their lovely dog- Chloe's health was declining and with her age, there was an impending feeling she wasn't going to make it. So she asked if they could help prepare Chloe's photos for photoshop in the event that she would pass before their wedding. Instead of passing on the idea, Capture Your Legacy worked with their neighbor who lives in the Dallas-Fort Worth Area to take a few snapshots of Chloe in the event they had to photoshop her into the wedding gallery. Luckily Chloe persevered long enough to make it beyond their wedding date. But giving Brianna and Rick the peace-of-mind they needed is what also helped get them into high spirits for their wedding day.

On the wedding day, Tatjana and Jonas got to meet cute little Chloe and it appeared she was in high spirits for a dog her age. She was moving, taking commands, and was interacting with the people around her.

The team began scouting the lovely Dao House venue for the first look (with the bride's father), the first look for the couple's letter readings, and other stunning spots for the bridal party and family. Coordinating with the videographers (Acts of Adventure), we were able to plan for the day ahead so that everything runs smooth with accordance to the official wedding timeline.

While Brianna got ready inside the sweetheart cabin, the groom got ready inside the recreation room with his guys. In contrast, the guys shared some funny moments like learning how to tie a tie properly via YouTube and goofing around for groom portraits. While that was happening Tatjana had the ladies huddled together on the steps of the bride's cabin and they shared love, tears, and heartfelt stories with one another. After Brianna got ready, she had a really emotional first look with her father while her precious little Chloe was peeking at the two.

Finding a first look area is always difficult, but thankfully the video team had similar interests on the look and feel of each other's work so we were able to settle on the property's aspen tree grove which is a short walk from their cabin. Brianna then approached Rick, tapped him on the shoulder, and was wowed by each other's stunning attire. They then read their love letter vows to each other, cried, kissed, hugged, and walked out of the aspen trees confidant as ever to get married in front of their friends and families. But just before their ceremony, we took the entire bridal party down the street to Lily Lake for some fun bridal portraits.

The ceremony was an amazing site! A short .5 mile drive from the cabins and into the woods where guests can be shuttled to the site. It had spectacular views of Long's Peak and other mountain ridges giving us stunning pictures of the whole scenery. Once they were pronounced husband and wife, we had a mini session of the entire bridal party, individuals with their folks, and other important guest. They also got a chance to officially sign their marriage license at the ceremony site.

Once we got back to the reception site, we coordinated with Connor & Alix- the videographers on how we were going to tackle the reception timeline. And boom! We did it again! We made magic happen and the entire night went without a hitch! The couple had an epic grand entrance, first dance, traditional dances with their parents, hilarious speeches, a fun dance group, and a fun grand exit to end the night.

Overall the entire day was a success! Chloe made it to the wedding, they had a great Marvel themed wedding, and most importantly they had the time of their lives with close friends and family. Sadly, Chloe passed away weeks after the wedding, but her memories are forever captured and cherished by all.
