On easter Sunday, we captured an intimate picnic session with @elara_5 & @al_ek at the very windy Point Reyes Lighthouse & Cypress Tree Tunnel in San Francisco, California.
We started the day driving towards Olema, California. Our route included stunning views of San Francisco, driving on the Golden Gate Bridge, and gorgeous mountain views on St. Francis Drake Boulevard. There were cute cows, majestic horses, and acres & acres of farm land. We then arrived at a T in Olema, California where the most amazing restaurant resides- Olema House Point Reyes. We enjoyed great burgers, beers, and seafood with Elara and Alek (normally don't enjoy meat burgers but they nailed the Due West burger recipe!)
Then we hit the road for some shots at Cypress Tree Tunnel. It ended being frigid but Elara and Alek maintained through the tough winds. Being this was their first session every in front of a camera together, they did an amazing job at taking directions. But as the day session progressed, they began to get more comfortable with the camera. They understood camera angles, suggested their own shots, and were brave enough to kiss in front of visitors.
Their engagement session ended with a short walk towards the cliff of Point Reyes Lighthouse where they enjoyed each other's company overlooking the stunning view of the Pacific Ocean. It was amazing to see their love express on camera without giving much direction. It goes to show how much they really trust each other and how absolutely comfortable they are with their vulnerability. The grand finale of the picnic session was something Alek and Elara really wanted to practice and that's the champaign celebration. Although the wind was a challenge to overcome, they did their best to make the champaign pop and ended up being the most fun part of the entire session.
From top-to-bottom the day went absolutely perfect! All that matters is that they enjoyed their engagement session and that they ended up with photos they loved!
