2019 Tips to Eloping in Yosemite National Park

Love, Nature & Views

Yosemite National Park - A place for camping, hiking and eloping. Hidden in the beautiful Sierra Nevada Mountains. This park has a vast choices of scenery to offer in all four seasons. Whether you elope down in Yosemite Valley or sky-high up Glacier Point. There will be no shortage of spectacular views. Most couples choose Yosemite as their destination for its magnificent grandeur, overall natural setting and peacefulness.

Tips Before You Elope

  • You need a permit from the park before getting married in Yosemite.

  • Check for weather, closures, construction or wildfires ahead of time.

  • Bring bug spray, sunscreen, hiking boots or bear spray.. just in case.

  • Food, wifi, cellular connection, restrooms are available but are very limited.

  • There are no gas stations in the park, so fill up before entering.

  • Wilderness is no joke. Be prepared and respect mother nature.

Why Work With Our Team?

Our elite Yosemite team is unmatched. Every vendor you work with are highly qualified and experienced to perform their duties in the rugged terrains of Yosemite. Not to mention, our ability to interweave our separate services around each other is key to being on time. All of this began with Erica & Ryan's wedding (see below) and flourished into an unstoppable group of professionals on a quest to providing a satisfying-tear-jerking adventure.

Our Successful Workflow

When you begin the day-of preparation, you meet with M.U.A.H. by Summer & Dawn Kelly (the most experienced elopement photographer in Yosemite). As these fine lovely ladies begin their top-of-the-line services, Legacy Weddings arrives to prep for the day ahead and ensure video quality is of the highest. Once the final touches by Summer are complete, Dawn Kelly & Capture Your Legacy will take you to a scenic and secluded place for a First Look. Away from park visitors and away from friends/family. This moment is for you to share with each other. And after all the tears have been wiped clean, we journey onward to the ceremony to get you two married the way you have planned.

After the announcement as a married couple and the sea of "congratulations" have been said, we hit the road to several gorgeous sceneries in all of Yosemite. From a golden-meadow to a stunning "Tunnel View" of Yosemite to glistening waterfalls, we take you to places where you choose to be. Then to top the magical day, we conclude the elopement with a breathtaking view of Half-Dome from Glacier Point where you and your significant other will enjoy the last few minutes of the sunset.

Erica + Ryan

October 5, 2017

One of the best elopements we have ever experienced. We started the day in Groveland, one of the gateway towns for Yosemite. Ryan and Erica rented out these beautiful log cabins that had a lot of character. Ryan being the ever-so adventurous groom, did a rope-glide at one of the log cabin's outdoor activity section.. after he got ready. They soon had their first-look where their parents witnessed from a distance so they can have their moment together. Soon after, we took off for their ceremony at Swinging Bridge. They had several members of their families in attendance which made the ceremony more touching. In the backdrop we had a front-row view of Yosemite Falls. Then, we ended the day with a dreamy sunset at Glacier Point.

Julie + Stephen

October 10, 2018

A very down-to-earth couple with an outdoor adventure personality. Julie and Stephan rented out a cabin inside the valley and got ready in the same cabin. Luckily for us, our Yosemite team did a fantastic job of making sure these two did not see each other. Not to mention, their wonderful family had a huge role in that too. Before we ventured out for their lovely adventure, there was a plethora of gift-exchanging between both sides of the family. Just like Erica and Ryan, they eloped in the same meadow in the valley. After being pronounced as "Husband and Wife" we went on route to Glacier Point where they shared a private and intimate moment over a gorgeous view of Half-Dome. The two then enjoyed the last minutes of the sunset with a blissful kiss till the stars took over the day.
